As an AuDHDer myself, I understand both personally and professionally what it’s like to navigate a world that wasn’t built with your unique needs in mind. Being autistic and/or ADHD doesn’t necessarily have to be the focal point of the sessions (but it can be, if you want it to be!). Whether you are diagnosed, self-diagnosed, suspecting or curious, this insight is helpful because being neurodivergent impacts so many of our thoughts, decisions, experiences, and the ways that we navigate the world.
In therapy, I often use neurodivergent affirming, person-centered, motivational interviewing, relational and strengths-based approaches. I’ve been told at different times that as a Therapist I’m warm, welcoming, easy to talk to, that I don’t judge, am understanding; that we’re able to talk about difficult topics without it feeling too heavy, and that I approach topics with curiosity. I also like to ask thought provoking questions which prompt deeper reflection. Being an AuDHDer, I can often pick up on subtleties about the neurodivergent experience and zero in on them, along with offering creative/different perspectives.
My hope is that you feel heard, understood, supported and accommodated to unmask and show up authentically you in sessions! You are the expert on you: We can work together to decide how therapy can be most helpful for you and create neurodivergent affirming interventions that work for you uniquely. I create many of my own autistic/ADHD worksheets and resources as well. It’s an honor to be trusted with my clients’ most vulnerable thoughts, and it’s a responsibility I don’t take lightly!
Here are some examples of resources I’ve created that we often work on during, or outside of sessions:
- Session accommodation ideas
- How to get the most out of therapy
- How to best care for me during a shutdown/meltdown
- Mapping out autistic and/or ADHD traits
- Persistent drive for autonomy (PDA)
- Neurodivergent reflections checklist
- Processing understimuation
- Alexithymia
- Evaluating the areas of executive functioning and how they impact us
- Neurodivergent burnout
- Sensory mapping

*This tool works for all plans except UPMC, which I need to verify that insurance manually. If you have UPMC insurance, reach out here instead!
I also accept self-pay, sliding scale and out of network.
If your plan is out of network, we are able to potentially use out of network benefits, self-pay or sliding scale options. However, if you’d rather have an in-network Therapist, I can help you find the best fit!
Disclaimer: I take additional plans that aren’t listed above, such as out of state plans; and there are a few plans within those insurance carriers listed that I’m unable to take. I do take the majority of plans within those carriers. Insurance can be unpredictable in which plans I can accept and not, so make sure to use the insurance benefits check before we schedule!
